Our Story
Reef & Relic wasn't born in a boardroom — it was born out of necessity, resilience, and a deep love for the ocean.
When my wife was diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic colorectal cancer, our world changed overnight. As someone living with a disability myself, I knew I needed to find a way to help support our family while allowing us to continue doing something we genuinely loved. What started as a small dream quickly became Reef & Relic.
Where It All Began
The beach has always been our happy place. Whether we were walking the shoreline searching for shark teeth, watching the waves roll in, or simply appreciating the incredible wildlife along our coast, the ocean became both our inspiration and our therapy. We began building Reef & Relic together, combining our creativity with our passion for coastal life. As her health declined, it became impossible for her to continue the day-to-day work, but her heart and vision remain woven into everything we create.
Today, I'm proud to continue that dream alongside my lifelong best friend of 42 years. Together, our shared love for the ocean, creativity, and craftsmanship has become the foundation of Reef & Relic.
What We Create
Everything we create reflects the place we call home. We source many of our materials locally from our beautiful coastline, handcraft our jewelry and coastal treasures, and design and print our own apparel using premium-quality garments built for comfort, durability, and life on the water. Whether you're hunting shark teeth, fishing, surfing, boating, or simply enjoying a sunset on the beach, our gear is made to keep up with your adventures.
More Than a Brand
But Reef & Relic is about more than apparel and jewelry. It's about community.
We're proud to support our local communities whenever we can, celebrate the people who make our coast special, and give back through events, partnerships, and conservation efforts. We believe the ocean has given us so much, and we have a responsibility to help protect it. From sea turtles and sharks to shorebirds and wildlife on land, we're passionate advocates for conservation, education, and kindness toward the creatures that can't speak for themselves.
